Hoping to get help from the experts. I got a quote from SolarCity that seems high. So wanted to see what you all think & any suggestions you may have. Also can anyone recommend any local installers?

That price is very high. Is there something unusual about about your situation ?

I'd get more quotes. Soalr City is sort of the Walmart of the solar business. You ought to be able to do better on quality and for sure on price, even for a small system.

Your usage is low enough that it MAY not be cost effective for you to have solar. What does your electric rate structure and cost look like ? Those are important piece od the puzzle.

Actually annual usage is a bit higher at 7200 Kwh at the moment. I do expect the usage to go up in coming years.

The house is partially located in shaded area and limited roof space could be used for solar panels. Not sure if there is anything special for the install. Electric panel conveniently located next to the meter in the garage. Attached is a drawing for proposed install.

Given that roof space is limited does it make sense to go with Sun Power for better efficiency?
