Seriously, washing seems to be a practical approach. JUST DON'T DO IT WHEN THE SUN IS SHINING. EARLY MORNING IS PROBABLY BEST. Get used to and accept some performance penalty for dirt and the guano factor. -

Spikes are NOT the answer to nesting pigeons.
Don't waste your precious time and money on spikes in an attempt to keep birds, squirrels or other critters out from under residential solar systems.
Bird spikes prevent birds from landing and roosting on surfaces, they will NOT keep them from crawling under the system. Pigeons and other vermin simply push their way through, between the spikes.
"Exclusion" as the pest control industry calls it, requires a screen-type barrier.
You'll want to attach it without drilling into the panels themselves (or the roof), as this will void your warranty.
Several products, made specifically to meet this need, are now available. One such example can be found here: www.spiffysolar.comLast edited by Spiffy Solar; 06-29-2015, 03:02 PM. Reason: Took out specific details about my product/company (but added the link). .Comment

It's a fine line between providing useful, relevant information and "advertising." I'm checking with the owners now. I'm open to any suggestions for post edits, thanks.Comment

I think for this issue you can call wildlife removal Fairfield County CT services. They can help you betterly. One of my friends likewise had the same issue and after receiving their services, bird do not sit and make their home at the solar panel.Comment

Keeping pigeons off and out from under your solar panels is a multi-part process. First you actually need to make sure all waste is removed and the droppings are all cleared away. This is because pigeons will see droppings as evidence of a safe place to live.
Then you need to install barriers on the panels themselves to prevent birds from getting under them. Pigeons almost always live underneath the panels, so blocking access will almost always keep them away. Make sure you use solar panel safe materials, fasteners, and methods to keep the warranty in tact.
Sometimes you will get a challenge from different roofing types where there's still a gap that pigeons can get into. Here's a quick post on a pigeon barrier installation technique you can use to make sure your pigeon control efforts work on any roof type.
I hope this helps!
