Battery-Inverter Dilemma

I think I did read Chris Olson said these new type of battery don't like shadow discharge and like to be discharge below 50% once a while? also the absorb voltage is at 28.5 volt which a bit low for deep cycle battery? May be should try 29.5 to 30 volts. Just my thought.
