Solar Panel with very high Rated output Voltage (Vmpp)

    Hello guys,

I want to create my own solar system.
I need to use panels with a higher output voltage Vmpp.
Everything seemed to be perfect when I finally found the new SunPower X21-335-BLK with 57.3 V.
The issue is that these panels cannot be bought without an installation, but I want to build it by myself- so what can I do?

If I cannot get this panel has somebody an idea which panel I can buy instead with kind of the same output voltage?

Would be supper if you can help me!!

Btw the panel can be from any part of the world- as long as it is good quality!!

Adding more panels in series obviously gives me a higher voltage, but also more power. Is there another option to push the voltage of the solar panel array up beside adding more panels or using a panel with higher output? I want as much voltage as possible to send it in my inverter.

    Thx a lot!!

    Best regards

Chris I think you are going about this all wrong. If you are referring to Grid Tied System, all but the micro inverters use operate at 250 to 600 volts. To do that requires you to use enough panels in series to reach the required voltage. As long as you are using Grid Tied panels is fine. The lowest voltage GT panels are 54 cells and operate at roughly @ 27 volts. Then there are the 96 cell modules that operate @ 48 volts. Either way you have to use multiple panels in series to reach the minimum operating voltage required by the inverter.

Hallo Sunking thank you for your answer!

The thing is on the roof I want to install the system is not much space for too many panels- that is the problem why I cannot put too many panels in series.
I want to put 7- 10 panels, best as less panels as possible because I try to put another small test field beside.

Well let me just mention I wanted to use the Sunny Boy 3000-TL-US from SMA.

This info with the 96 cells is good- so can you recommend some manufacturers for this kind of solar panels please?!

      Thx!!

      Best regards
