Finding out Long Term Value in Solar

Hi, I am new to this forum.

I spent quite a few years trying to find ways to prove the long term financial value of solar energy as I think it or some other alternatives will be essential to our planet's survival.

My hope is that others on this forum are dedicated to this instead of just trying to find a temporary solution to an energy problem.

Any great examples of people who have found ways to save dollars in the bank via solar projects, or creative ways to cut costs on solar projects would be interesting for me to learn more about.

    Regards,

Well, most scientists give the planet another 6 billion or so years, til the sun dies, so we're good til then.

We do live on a rather fragile rock, whose had its climate drastically altered over the ages. I don't think going solar is going to change much, as far as the planet's temperatures and whatnot, but it's better than looking backwards to fossil based fuels, and using the largest fusion reactor in the solar system for an energy supply, well, that just seems smart to me.

So are we going to "save the planet" by using solar panels? Ahh, no, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't tap into that burning ball in the sky.

What's up Aussie Bob, what's the latest and greatest from down your way under the equator concerning residential solar? Is the move to solar something that is gaining alot of momentum down in your land, or is it tapering off??? I know nothing about your deal down there, enlighten me please.
      Thx,
