Indeed. And even more ironically, the piece you posted contains the very same sort of errors.

The article I read stated that the retired teacher had seen plants around solar arrays that were "dry and dead" so she felt the solar panels were "sucking" up all of the sun which killed the plants.

I wonder if she even heard of "round up". Again my feelings are some people are afraid of their own shadow and will believe or concoct their own terrible justifications for something they don't like.

PC Police alert. You cannot say Stupid anymore. Stupid has been replaced with Intellectually challenged.

A stupid person knows what Stupid is, but is clueless what Intellectually challenged means and thinks it is a compliment.

How about a new P.C. term: "Slothfully Induced Ignorance" ?

Oh no....they did in fact directly quote someone.

************ Jane Mann told the council that she is “concerned that photosynthesis, which depends upon sunlight, would not happen and would keep the plants from growing.” She then went on to question the safety of the passive energy production of solar, citing a number of cancer deaths in the area.
“No one can tell me that solar panels don’t cause cancer,” asserted Mann.
After Jane Mann expressed her concern, her husband Bobby Mann took to the pulpit to drive home their case by saying the “solar farms would suck up all the energy from the sun and businesses would not come to Woodland.”

She is also asking for someone to prove that they don't cause cancer. Basically prove the absence of it.

DUH!!!! Too much sun can cause cancer. That being the case, to much sun can also cause cancer on the solar panels which then washes off when it rains and into the soil and groundwater it goes. The sheeple in NC then drink the water, make moonshine or Kool-aid with it an VIOLA, cancer!
