Not surprising that the state is trying to put a good face on the mess they got conned into by Musk. Musk faces a $41 million penalty unless he pads employment/job goals met.
Interestingly and separately, I think I may know the leaker in this story. The kid of an old friend.
More and more separately, I also know a couple of engineers pretty high up at Ciminelli Construction - the gen. contractor for the plant. Lots of fun stories.
