Can someone recommend a good solar pump

Hey, Texas Sun, I have used a Robison pump for 3+ years. I have a Sharp 143w and two yellow Optimas. I use the batteries for power tools and my Ready Welder, but primarily I pump water for my horses and cats. The system paid for itself the second year and I'm loving it! Good Luck! -
We have a well 170' with water level at 90' and 5" casing. It's never been pumped so I don't know how it'll recover but the well driller estimated that it'll only produce 5-7 gpm. We'll use the well for gravity feed drip irrigation, using about 1500 gallons a week so I only need low rate, about 1 gpm to pump into a 3000 gallon storage tank. I want to install a solar system and have been looking for a good pump but not sure what's good (been looking at Robinson BL40D. Can someone recommend a good reliable pump?

Dankoff and Grundfos both make good solar well pumps but they are expensive. Shurflo 9300 is on the cheaper end but will not have the life expectancy of the others.

Depends -
Do you need solar only 6 sunny ours only a day, or do you have a way to store water (pressure tank, elevated storage) and will a cloudy day impact it ?
I went with a conventional well pump, and used beefy inverter to run it. Needed the beefy inverter anyway. (in my .sig)Leave a comment:
