Hi Dr Suleman,
Please give me some details before i can do your analysis. What is your Voltage(220 i guess)?? What is your ampage use?? The power factor( will be written on your pump), the efficiency of your pump ( given by your Pump Company). The formula is (Square root of 3)*(VOLTAGE)*(Ampage)* (Power Factor) * (Device Efficiency) / 746.

Assuming $10/watt for a battery backed system + tracker you are looking at a $50,000 system. (5kW STC DC.) And a few thousand every 5 years or so for battery bank replacement. Is that within your price range?Leave a comment:

To run 9-12 hours a day will most likely require a tracking system for the collectors and enough wattage to compensate for the lower insolation values at the beginning and end of the day.
How much land are you trying to irrigate and how much of the land will be irrigated each day?
A simpler and less costly solution would be a Grundfos DC pump.
There is one that will pump 24GPM at 150 feet deep. I don't know if that is enough to work with however.Leave a comment:

Thank You.
Im working Blind, any suggestions would be great.
Basically, im trying to put together a system that would do the following:

There is no such thing as a 3 phase, direct solar pump inverter gadget.
The simplest you can do is a Grid Tie, to let the solar generation offset your cost of grid power.
There are some small ( less that 1hp pumps ) that can run off DC & PV, but they don't meet your needs.Leave a comment:

Hi
Appreciate the message.
Im working blind here, im guessing the well would be 150ft down and will be a ditch type Irrigation.
We are looking to run the system on Solar Energy.
The Systm is to be installed in India.
Ive spoken to a coupel of people and they are mentioning three phase, with 7000w solar panel power backed up with a Inverter but no batteries involved.
System to run 9-12 hours a day during sunlight
Thank You.Leave a comment:

To start with how many gallons of water per day would be required? I would imagine a lot considering your pump size.
What is the irrigation system to consist of meaning high pressure sprinkler heads or just ditch type irrigation?
Where is the project located?
How deep is the well?
Is grid power available?Leave a comment:
