    Floating solar water pool pump

Thank you for your time in advance. I am building a floating solar water pool pump and want to know how I can prevent electrocution if someone does not remove it.

The optimal answer is to remove it from the water before swimming but I am at work all day and the world is full of mysteries.

Any and all ideas are appreciated. Thank You

I think if the entire pump system—including the motor—is powered by:

    ≤ 12–24V DC

then the risk of dangerous shock in water is drastically reduced.

    Commercial “solar pool circulators” use:

    - Brushless DC pumps (BLDC) at 12–24V
    - No AC components anywhere near the water

This is the single biggest safety difference.
