  • Submersible pump and no water

This cheap submersible brushless 12v 19w dc-powered circulation pump is able to lift 5m. I can run it directly from a panel without using cc+battery.

Anyone knows if it is running without pumping (no water) wether this will have a negative effect?? I can imagine it then works like a fan or not?

running pumps dry damages bearings and impellers, I'd avoid it.
