  • Running a pond aereator 24/7

Hello there, and thank you for reading my question:
I have 2 15 Watt, 12V solar panels, currently powering up a 12v, .3A air pump ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EYWNVQ ) to aerate a 300 Gallon fish pond. I'd like to run the air pump 24/7 by introducing a 12V 15AH SLA Battery ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UC8OVUU ) and a charger controller (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004Q820UK ) to this system. How do I wire them together? Should I buy better equipment?, cause either this diagram is wrong, or my equipment is underspecced in some way or I am doing something wrong, because after a week or so it stops working and the battery is too dead to charge. Do I need bigger batteries?, a different charger controller?

Hello FLuser and welcome to Solar Panel Talk

Your post went to "review" because of the number of website links you included.

Hang around and someone should come by to help you with your questions.

With alligator clips because you will destroy the grossly undersized battery pretty quickly and no need to make anything permanent.

your 12V 0.3A pump will consume 7.2ah per day, roughly 1/4 sun hours, 3/4 no solar production (about 100.8wh)

So you need to HARVEST close to 450Wh daily, needing about 200w of well aimed PV panel to insure this harvest.
