Thanks for the input. I have been looking at the soft start sq series as well and you are right it does seem pretty economical. Part of me still would like to power the well, lights, hvac, and refrigeration with dc leaving the inverter for luxury items. I suppose all those things are luxury items as well.LOL

Anybody using the sqflex direct from battery on 48v dc?

I have a 24V DC system with the SQ pumps (not sqflex) and I run it with a 2kw inverter that I found for about $800. This came out to be around $1400 total for the pump and inverter which was much less than getting the sqflex pump. So far it is working really well.Leave a comment:
