There is a pump from GRUNDFOS. The 2 hp equivalent has been working pretty well. These pumps have been extensively installed in remote areas.

7M = 7 Meters or about 22 feet of head. You have 100 feet of Head which requires 6 times more power.

No no, I mean locally, the area I live in. Don't have anything near 250kms. I have not checked in other cities.

That type of pump normally develops very little head - more than 10 of lift would be a surprise. Something totally different from what you are talking about.

I can't believe you can not find this in India - I have bought a few dozen over the years there.

Hi, my interest has inclined towards more solar use so I am planning to replace my current 2HP Submersible Water Pump rated @ 240VAC. The pump is submerged at some 100Feet 5 inch bore well.

I checked locally, nothing of DC Pump sort available. Cannot go to Inverter root as it gets too expensive. So checked this

Its 30+166$ shipped ( )

I can design the Solar PV but for looking help to select a 200$ range motor.
