  • PTC heating elements in series 12v/24v

i have 12v ptc heating elements, can i simply connect them into serie and connect them instead of 12V battery to 24v battery?

i know, there is no polarity for ptcs...

seems like it could work if your cables are large enough. I've never worked with them, and usually they control power and are not meant to be a "Load"

im using them on 12V without problems for years. the only question is, if they will work SIMILAR in case of connecting them to 24V in serie...

some minor changes in wattage doesnt matter for me... just simply - will it work or burn...?

No experience with them, but it seems like 2 in series would work at 24V. How much will it cost you to burn 2 of them up ?

yes, if they will burn immediatly it will be no problem. but what if they will work for a while and then burn unattended...
