I came across this guy and thought he had a neat idea for refrigeration. It's not the fact his fridge is outside (that's nothing new to me). What I like is how he uses his charge controller setup to run the fridge off the solar panels to dump excess power when his batteries are topped off... give it a view and tell me what you think. Also this is a 3 part episode and at the end he talks about campers and a common issue people do.

he's using starting/cranking batteries. Looks like a bit of a fire hazard too.4X Suniva 250 watt, 8X t-105, OB Fx80, dc4812vrf -

I have no issue with someone performing temporary experiments using a "breadboard" wiring system but after an idea has been proven, please take the time to install all that electrical stuff in a permanent setup correctly and SAFELY.Comment

I noticed that like most DIY tinkerers he has no idea of how dangerous all that loose wiring and open electrical connections are around the batteries, CC and switches..

yes an Experiment or even three, but that whole place is a mess. lot's of high pitched noise and compressor sound. I am no expert but I will trust my learning curve to someone that has his fertilizer together.4X Suniva 250 watt, 8X t-105, OB Fx80, dc4812vrfComment

After watching more of his videos he seems legit. Maybe not a shining example but people could take his 2 cents for what it's worth. He even is asking the community about digital timers. Seems like his videos are a bit of his experience with the hardware. New video is about inverters and noise. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTZ0rUBzeY8Comment
