  • This inverter/charger/mppt controller looks to be an incredible value...

I live off grid, and am not in the market for any equipment, but like many I retain my interest in what's going on in the industry. I ran into this new item, a Phocus inverter-charger-kitchen sink. It goes for about $1600, and strikes me as an extraordinary value. I'd like to know what others think.

note that it DOES NOT include a battery
and it's weight is half of the roughly equal capacity Schneider XW

The 40 lb weight of the unit is not inspiring.. On the upside, it is German.
