  • Shopping for a pure sine wave Inverter - Lots of stuff on the market - who to trust?

    Hey All,
I've started shopping around for a 24V pure sine wave inverter, something in the ballpark of 2000W. This will be for a stationary, non mobile setup. A quick google search reveals no shortage of offerings. Prices range from starting @ $200 - $800 or so. As a noob I'm not quite sure what I'm looking for but one feature I'd like on the inverter is a GFCI outlet. I imagine the fans on these things can scream when they're under load, are some inverters quieter than others? Aside from that I'm not sure what to consider.

My budget is $600 but it wouldn't hurt if it came in under that.

On the high $ end I found this one from Cotek
    http://www.shopoffgrid.com/Cotek-SP2...iABEgJH-PD_BwE

On the lower end there's something there's something like this
    https://www.westmarine.com/buy/xantr...SABEgJefvD_BwE

Seems like anything cheaper than that isn't going to have a GFCI.

Any advice in navigating the pure sign inverter market is appreciated. Companies to look out for? Preferred vendors?

    Thanks!
    Rich

Cotek isn't great but they are a reasonable tradeoff between cheap and good quality.

With a name like Cotek, it's got to be good. What's the plural ?

I own a Xantex Pro 600watt inverter and I am very happy with it's performance but I have the 12volt to 120volt version.

Another brand to look at would be Samlex which is less costly then the Cotek model but I have no hands on experience with it.
