float voltage for lead acid batteries

whats the optimal float voltage for 12v Lead acid batteries. Ive heard 13.8, some say 13.4...what do you guys think?

Refer to Mfg. recommendations. They do vary..

13.2 to 13.8 range. Your battery hydrometer will tell you what the right voltage is.
