    DCDB busbar calcuation

    Dear all.

    I am new to the design of DCDB combiner box, I would like to formula evolved while calculating bus bar .

    1) How to choose bus bar??
    2) Based on length,width, thickness . how you calculate the power consumed by busbar & current carrying capacity??
    3) derating factor bus bar
    4) effect of temperature rise on bus baR


    Please give me some example explination or share me link where explained step by step procedure to calcualte it.

    Generally, boxes are sold with Ratings.. Rated 50A. Rated 200A And the boxes can be sold with optional bus bars, with specific ratings.

    Bus bars do not "consume" any energy.

    Trying to calculate the cross section area and it's current capacity, is done by the Mfg, not the consumer.
