  • Repair nicad nife cases

would it be a cheap way to get a nicad or nife battery bank, is to get one were the plastic contaners are old and brittel and refiting the nicad or nife cells into a new glass case with fresh electrolyte?

No NiCd and NiFe are extremely expensive compared to lead acid. The Nickel based batteries will be 4 to8 times more expensive per AH capacity. NiFe can be restored to some extent, but not NiCd.

I was thinking of nife and nicad cells with the plastic UV or physically damaged.

repair beat up / sun damaged cases - no. Get new glass or plastic cases, repairing old damaged plastic is not likely going to work
