  • Need some help with <a brand of> battery

Hello everyone! I’m new to solar and am having a hard time with my set up. Made some mistakes and now I’m wondering the best way forward. I’m installing <no ad links> equipment in my RV, and I have the panels all installed properly and all the cabling leading to the compartment where it is going to be hooked up. I had everything plugged in and working, and then when I went to tie down the cables, the battery leads disconnected from the charge controller and short circuited for about half a second. Now the charge controller will not turn on when the battery is connected, and neither will the inverter. The fuse on the positive lead side is not blown. I used a multimeter to get a voltage reading on the lithium battery, and when I set the multimeter to 20v, it shows 0.85 on the battery terminals themselves and the at the ends of the battery leads. I have no idea what this means practically, as it seems like that would mean the battery is reading 16.5 volts (which seems high). Does anyone know what could have happened and how I can get it fixed? Thanks!

Sometimes the BMS in a Li battery system, has to be manually reset if there is a fault. The Li Battery Manual should cover fault recovery.

This guy is pulling old reddit posts and changing the name "Renogy" to something else, posting them here and on multiple other sites.
