Too good to be true or not??

8,000 cycles is +20 years. How many years do they warranty the battery for ? I'd not expect more than twice the warranty period.

I wanted to look for the warranty period. While browsing ive found a page on their website a lot of "bull****" about lead acid. After reading this page i am done with that website.

        .......
Yes, they over exaggerate the shortcomings of Lead Acid.
The big players in grid storage are all using Lithium. I believe the future is Lithiun but Lead Acid is still a good value for smaller systems.
These kind of players in the Lithium space tend to be overpriced. That is why they need the hype.

Really? PV Powergrids (offgrid) are using lithium??
Second life lithium, like @ the Ayax Football Stadium in Amsterdam Europe's largest second life lithium bank, or are you talking about newly bought lithium bank?

Even the "BEST" FLA batteries have a typical life of 500 - 1000 cycles. Huh?!? The cheapest FLA deep cycle batteries will last 1000 cycles if taken care of. False advertising preying on the ignorance of people.

No, not second life, but grid support batteries like these:
              https://electrek.co/2018/12/15/tesla...nergy-storage/

I think the Amsterdam project is a good use of second life batteries.

The info powertech are providing is matched by my experiences with Pb and LiFe systems in my area.

Unless you only discharge Pb to 80% and ensure you recharge and float at 100% daily, the cycle life will be less than 1000.

The kicker is that for a typical off grid system, if you DO look after your Pb in a way that will make them last, the per kwh cost of your power will be higher than using LiFe.

In a very small system (ie less than 5kwh/day) Pb is an option.
