8,000 cycles is +20 years. How many years do they warranty the battery for ? I'd not expect more than twice the warranty period.Powerfab top of pole PV mount (2) | Listeroid 6/1 w/st5 gen head | XW6048 inverter/chgr | Iota 48V/15A charger | Morningstar 60A MPPT | 48V, 800A NiFe Battery (in series)| 15, Evergreen 205w "12V" PV array on pole | Midnight ePanel | Grundfos 10 SO5-9 with 3 wire Franklin Electric motor (1/2hp 240V 1ph ) on a timer for 3 hr noontime run - Runs off PV ||

I wanted to look for the warranty period. While browsing ive found a page on their website a lot of "bull****" about lead acid. After reading this page i am done with that website.

.......
The big players in grid storage are all using Lithium. I believe the future is Lithiun but Lead Acid is still a good value for smaller systems.
These kind of players in the Lithium space tend to be overpriced. That is why they need the hype.

Really? PV Powergrids (offgrid) are using lithium??
Second life lithium, like @ the Ayax Football Stadium in Amsterdam Europe's largest second life lithium bank, or are you talking about newly bought lithium bank?Comment

I think the Amsterdam project is a good use of second life batteries.9 kW solar, 42kWh LFP storage. EV owner since 2012Comment

The info powertech are providing is matched by my experiences with Pb and LiFe systems in my area.
Unless you only discharge Pb to 80% and ensure you recharge and float at 100% daily, the cycle life will be less than 1000.
The kicker is that for a typical off grid system, if you DO look after your Pb in a way that will make them last, the per kwh cost of your power will be higher than using LiFe.
In a very small system (ie less than 5kwh/day) Pb is an option.Comment
