Cool. At least it isn't the other guy and his promises. But I did not see even a hint what the price was or the life expectancy. Both of those data points will be interesting to learn and determine the return on investment time frame (if any). -

Wow. The 6.5kWh unit is expected to provide 16,100kWh and cost about $14,000 installed. That comes to a very expensive cost of $0.87/kWh if it last 3200 cycles delivering 2500kWh per kWh nameplate. Still too rich for my blood.Comment

Or, maybe one better metric without the promise/uncertainty of # of cycles : $14,000/6.5 kWh = $2,153/kWh of storage capacity, and then some way to figure a divisor based on allowable depth of discharge and let a warranty cover the # of cycles. I'll be back when such a price drops to ~ $100/net storage kWh. I figure I'll be waiting awhile.Comment

Here is one version of the warranty, showing how they consider lifetime energy throughput (without explicitly stating the cycle depth x number of cycles, beyond whatever controls are hardcoded)

Thank you. Understood. I wasn't too concerned about actual warranty, and that looks as good (or bad) as any, and worthy of further deciphering. My cynicism leads me to suspect that some peddlers will take something like SunEagle's $0.87/kWh (AUS or not) and twist it into a trap for fools. I suppose that will always happen anyway. Still seems like a cost INeffective option at this point. Guess that's another reason why beta testers are often well heeled financially. Maybe some LCOE analysis is called for.

Well duh? Everyone should load up on Defense Contractors now. That is easy. Loaded up when Bush took office, dumped it when NoBama took office, and loaded up again regardless of won in 2016. If Billary would have won, I would have sold everything and went 100% Defense stocks. That is a No-Brainer. Think I made 400% return on Bush and already 100% since last October. That is not a risk, just smart money. Load up on Boeing, Lockheed, Raytheon, L3, BAE, GD, and Northrup. Hell even Electric Boat. No where to go but up.
