The pump is not going to be able to run off batteries, at least not 5 hp worth. it's way too big.
I'd suggest a diesel powered pump for the times the grid is down.

Is this going to be grid tie hybrid systems with batteries for back up or off grid systems.
You need to come up with a total watt hour daily consumption. Preferably on a day when the power stays on all day.
If rolling blackouts are the norm how long does the power stay out for usually.
Four fans @ 100 Watts each is 400 Watts. Run for 16 hours is (400 * 16) 6400 Watt hours.
Six bulbs @ 20 Watts each is 120 Watts. Run for 8 hours is (120 * 8 ) 960 Watt hours.
All other appliances i runs on main grid. According to my understandings i need a grid tie system with batteries. Please correct if i am wrong.
Yes this is 5 hp pump for irrigation purposes. I needs to run this in day time only.Leave a comment:

There is no basis for your system as there is not enough information given to formulate a design.
I see why the OP is skeptical of the locals.Leave a comment:

I am also from Pakistan & also working on small systems,
I think you will need a 4KW Solar Power System for you home,
1.Solar Panels . 250w x 16 = 4000w
2.Charge Controller. 50Amp/48V x 2
3.Inverter . 3000VA x 1
4.Batteries . 150Ah/12V x 16 = 2400Ah
Thanks & Regards.Leave a comment:

Finally on the agri business with the 5HP motor, is this a pump for irrigation?Leave a comment:

Thank you Russ. Can you also help me designing of arrays, selection of controller, inverter and also advice about the capacity of battery. Your help will be highly appreciated.Leave a comment:

No PV Watts for Pakistan so I used New Delhi, India - won't be that far off.
The usable insolation is far less than you are considering.

Designing of off grid solar system
Hello,
I am from Pakistan.I am new in solar field. In Pakistan there is a energy crisis but fortunately it is rich with solar radiations. In summer there is sun shine for about 12-14 hr a day and in the winter about 8- 10 hr a day. Kindly guide me i want to install a solar system of 1000 watt in my house, 4000 watt at my fuel station and 6000 watt a my agri form for irrigation purposes. Here is the data of my solar panel.
Rating power at STC(Wp) 220W
Open circuit voltage(Voc) 34.0V
Short circuit current(Isc) 8.58A
Rated voltage(Vm) 27.6V
Rated current(Im) 7.97A
Kindly guide me about the arrangement of the arrays, size of charger controller, size of inverter and the battery bank for 10 hr back up time for each system.
For home the average load is 700 watt hr
For the fuel station average load is 2800 watt hr but there is a problem in this load. We are using three submersible motors for fuelling and each motor takes 17 Amp at its starts up and settles down at 5 Amp . Kindly guide how can we design solar system for this complex system.
For the agri purpose we are using 5 hp AC motor. We do no need back up time in this system. Kindly guide for this system also and also inform can we use DC motor to reduce the cost of the system.
220 volt used in Pakistab
I contact with you because in Pakistan in our area electritions are using just hit and trail method for the system designing.
