  • Baby Sitting FLA forklift batteries Trickle Charger

I will be ending up with some large forklift batteries that will need to sit for about a year before they get significant use. I can set them up with a charge controller and generator but my preference is just get a good trickle charger and leave them plugged in. So good idea for the long term?. If so anyone recommend a model or brand?.

What are the battery capacity's ? 1000ah ? Trickle charge might be 10A, and you will need to add water.

1050 Amp hour. 48 volt. They are readily accessible so checking water is not a major issue. It does get cold up at my place but my guess is the inevitable snow will insulate them from the worst of it.
