  • Best Way To Charge New AGM Batteries

Should I do anything special with new AGM batteries before connecting them to my solar panels? Should I fully charge them or just hook them up and let the panels charge them before putting them into service?

This is probably obvious but all I would do is make sure your charge controller is set up for AGM.

The factor has a spec for the initial charging of batteries. It often involves a couple slow discharge and recharge cycles . The battery dealer should have access to the specs and share them with you.
