  • Wiring 8V batteries into 24V string

    I have 6 8v golf cart batteries and I am trying to make 24v?series conection that I used with 4 6v batteries doent work because I am left over with 2 positive and 1 negative?every way that I tried ended up 16v?

    3 x 8 = 24
    3 batteries x 8V = 24V

    Try it with 3 batteries first, then series the other 3 and after you have 2 separate 24 v banks, then consider paralleling them.

    BE CAREFUL - there is lethal amounts of power stored in the batteries. Hook it up wrong and you have melted battery parts and acid steam all over the place !!
