i make then drope to 12 v
and i hope they are not dead i pay lots money for this bateries...

what ahr are /were the 20 batteries..?/ What type of battery??
If lead acid batteries you must have some bad imbalance between them?? it almost impossible to equalize 20 parallel batteries,!!!.. what size solar panel array?? in watts. and what size inverter you using ?? and the loads on the inverter??

any idea how to discharger my batries ??

Just disconnect them from the Charge Controller and they will drop immediately down to 13 volts.

However if you left the batteries connected to the defective charger for too long, I bet you will find your batteries will drop vell below 12 volts, meaning they are destroyed. So not only will you need a new charge controller, but all new batteries.

Why in the world are you using 20 12 volt batteries for? That alone will destroy them.

As you said your charge controller is not working so your batteries are over charged.
The batteries will discharge in due course.

You need to solve the problem that caused your batteries to over charge, then test your batteries to make sure not are damaged.

You cant and dont need to put a 24v inverter into a 12volt system.

If the system has been working fine with 12v components it will again once you solve the overcharging problem

Well if you have a 24 volt inverter it requires a 24 volt battery to operate it.

Hi Luisito - Welcome to Solar Panel Talk!

If you have a 12 volt system all equipment would be 12 volt.

What you need is a 12 volt charger that functions correctly. If a 24 volt charger failed it would do about the same thing.

i overcharge my bank of bateries 20 bateries
my charger controller it was defected!!
i got really over charge
my 12v bateries got over 17!!!
so i was thinking to buy POWERINVERTER FOR 24V
MY POWER INVERTER IS FOR 12V
any idea how to discharger my batries ??
