I am new to solar energy and have acquired 4x Emerson 165Ah batteries : T12V165SEF/A

Is it possible to use these batteries with a solar system?

Looks ok since they mention good cycling ability. But I see no reference to cyclic life, so coming from a UPS division, they might be optimistic.

I'd try them since you have them.

BUT let me guess, these are *used* batteries pulled from a ups and given to you?

If so, and if this is your first foray into solar - they make good core - exchanges for a NEW battery appropriate to the load you have in mind.

No they are not made for cycle service. They are made for Float Service in the Telcom sector. They are UPS batteries
