Hi, Can anyone tell me if there is a device i can connect to my battery bank that will monitor it and tell me what the highest and lowest voltage was in a 24 hr period.

    thank you

My morningstar MPPT-60 charge controller tells me:

Yes, it's been hot the last couple days, and this is only one of my 2 controllers. Yes, it's been cranking for 6.5 years

      Hi Mike
Thanks but it's an independent device i'm wanting to connect to my battery to help me understand a new hybrid inverter, basically i have a freezer attached to my system and i'm using around 400w through the night from the grid but the battery bank is still well charged in the morning so not sure why the inverter is turning over to grid for this short time.
I have the grid battery charger turned off so it's not this using the 400w, my guess was the battery bank may be hitting the low disconnect voltage which is set at 22v so the inverter will turn over to grid to save the battery then after a short while the batter although not getting any solar as it's night is bouncing back to the reconnect voltage which i have set at 24.5v, the reconnect voltage was set at 25.5v and i found the freezer used more like 600w

The freezer uses 1200w in 24hr and tends to kick in and run at 486w, i can only think the inverter (MPP Solar 24v) is switching back and forth throughout the night.

      Battery bank is 24v 330ah

So i was thinking if i could find a small device that would tell me the lowest my battery drops to it would help me understand things.

Then you need a data logging Volt meter. Some use a paper tape, some are all digital..
