Is there a way To get dual voltage from a solar off-grid battery bank ?

If you chose to distribute power to lights, etc at a more efficient 24V, a local DC-DC converter connected directly
to each load could then provide a regulated 12V, 5V, or whatever. Small ones only cost a couple bucks on E+ay
these days. Bruce Roe -

Just make sure you use overcurrent protection (fuses) for each DC voltage circuit to protect the wires and loads accordingly.Comment

If I'm wired for 24 36 or 48 voltage battery bank, is there an easy way to to provide 12-volt load output for the lights fans and other small appliances that are 12 volt.Comment

YES, you purchase step down converters. They come in 24, 36, 48v to 5v USB, 7v, 9v, 12v, 19v for TV's and laptops. they can be obtained in 5amp, 10amp and higher conversion and sealed as well as din mount open circuit modules.Comment

Just make sure that what you get is an actual DC to DC converter, with a largish inductor as part of the circuit. A simple voltage regulator will be cheaper but will waste a lot of power.SunnyBoy 3000 US, 18 BP Solar 175B panels.Comment

For an example, google Vicor DCM3414V50M13C2T01. It's a very good DC/DC; 16 to 50 volts in, 12 volts at 26 amps out. It would be a good choice for a 24V system, if a bit pricey.
