  • Charging 6v bank with 12v solar

Hey i am new to this site and looking for some info. I am making a portable solar generator with 4 6v batteries wired together to make 12v. That is easy however my 15A charge controller only has one battery charge terminal. So with the 2 sets of 6vs how do i connect the charger so that both sets charge? Can i just run 2 wires from the same port of the charge controller?

You need to connect your batteries in a series/ parallel configuration. This is not the best way to set up a bank.
Search connecting batteries on the diagonal for more detailed info

Yes i was planning on going with a series parallel set up however even looking at the diagonal set up where would be the best spot for me to put the charge wire to charge the bank. If i was to put in in series parallel form it seems like i would need two charge points and looking at diagonal it still seems like 2 charge points would make sense. However i am new to this and could easily be missing something.
      Thanks again for the advice.
