Thank for the reply. You're plugging your shore power plug into your inverter from the sounds of it? My goal is to eventually hard wire my system, but testing stages ill use the shore plug to inverter.

All we do is boondock camping in the mountains, but we don't live out of our means and conserve power when we can. We use a propane griddle for cooking on, coffee press or stove coffee maker for coffee. Mostly want this power for running the RV for things that need power ( Fans, Charging electronics, lower draws, small mini fridge for our drinks ect..)

Eventually want to hard wire my system thru an auto transfer switch so the inverter knows when the Generator kicks on or shore power is plugged in. I have to start looking for a new inverter to handle the new loads. This video here has a lot of great info and clean install. Same set up system our toy hauler has with the 5500 Oman generator, For sure going to follow his tips and install.
