Thanks for the quick response and for helping a newbie solar enthusiast -
Dometic: Energy Consumption 12VDC (Ambient@90F, Internal@41F) 1.90 Ah/h
Running it on 12 or 24 volts will definitely be more efficient than running it on, inverter provided, 120 volts.Leave a comment:

If the Dometic-CFX65DZ has a DC motor in it (or an inverter compressor), it will likely consume less than powering it via the pro watt. The inverter will only be about 80% efficient.
If the Dometic-CFX65DZ has a 12v heater coil in it (like many RV propane fridges) the inverter would be the best way to power the fridgeLeave a comment:

Fridge freezer power running options
I'm new to solar and and was wondering which will consume less power for aDometic-CFX65DZ-Electric-Powered-Freezer a 12v socket to my battery bank or using aXantrex PROwatt SW1000 - True Sine Wave Inverterhooked to my battery bank. I have 2x 100w renogy panels and an Epever 40amp charge controller (tracer AN series). Also what size gauge wire should I use on a 12v socket? 12awg? Thanks for any replies
