    Sizing Our System?

    Hey!

    My wife and I are building a system for a road trip and we've used all of the solar calculators we could find etc, but we still don't quite understand if we're looking at the right products/loads. We don't want to under-power for our needs, but also don't want to over-power our batteries or something.

    We're also not sure if we're going to drain our batteries faster than we can recharge them. Hoping someone here can give us an extra set of eyes before we order everything listed below:

    We need to power/charge at Minimum:
    1 MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus -- 12v DC, 5a (8hrs?)
    1 Macbook Air -- 120v AC, 1a (2hrs?)
    1 Camera Battery Charger -- 120v, .25a (2hrs?)

    And ideally, we could also have capacity just in case for:
    2 Smart Phones
    1 iPad
    1 Portable Bluetooth Speaker
    1-2 LED Lights

    And here are the products we're looking at:

    Slow down. Your fan alone exceeds the output of the panels

    So you first figure your watts, how many watts your gear uses, and add up the hours. A 23 watt charger for 4 hours will be 92 watt hours

    Solar panels flat on a roof "might" reach 50% of nameplate for an hour or two daily.

    Your inverter is way too large and not likely pure sine wave. It will have self consumption of 3 ipads
