Forgot to ask, what is the amperage rating on your "modern charger"?

Hopefully it is 36A or higher unless you really like buying batteries.

A little bit shy of C/12..... Maybe close enough? I don't know. I do know that personally,I am spending enough on batteries that I want them to last as long as possible. I am paying close attention to the recommendations in the "Are you killing your batteries" sticky. Good read on how to treat your batteries well and get the most life out of them.

There is another sticky that I will recommend that you take a look at. I don't remember the exact title but it refers to using automotive chargers and what to be wary of.
