    Can someone review my setup?

Hi I am new to the forum and new to solar systems in general. i have recently embarked on a small 12v setup just to run 3 12v 3 watt MR16 LED bulbs, in the future i may want to add a 12v socket to run a small radio. I have setup the system and it all "works" but i have since disconnected everything as i am not sure how safe the setup is. If it needs to made safer i would like to do whatever is required. Also i am not sure if i have sized the system correctly so would like any views on that also.

The main question here though, is it safe enough a setup? Have a made some obvious mistakes (very likely).

These are my components with links where possible

    25 watt solar panel
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/ECO-WORTHY-...+25+watt+panel

    charge controller
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sun-YOBA-Ch...rge+controller

    12v 7ah SLA battery
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/HQ-Universa...ds=12v+battery

30 amp cable for connections between battery and controller, the solar panel has 30 amp cable also

8 amp cable for cable between lights and load terminal on controller

7.5 amp car inline blade fuse between battery and controller as close to battery as possible.

3 amp blade fuse between lights and load terminal on controller (housed in car fuse box).

30 amp terminal block being used to connect the lights in parallel.

Although i do not know how to draw circuit diagrams i have attached a diagram to give an idea of what is going on here. Apologies for my terrible drawing abilities.

It may well be that key information to answer the question is missing from my post if it is i will do my best to provide it!

    Thanks
    SunnyD

You need another beefy fuse between your battery and the controller, none is shown on the schematic.

I just noticed that I have put the fuse in between the panel and the controller on my diagram (in error). That 7.5amp fuse is actually sitting between my battery and the controller right next to the positive terminal. It is just an inline automotive fuse. I don't actually have one on the positive line from the panel at all.

      2 questions arise from this;
      1. Do I need on one on the positive line from the solar panel as well? (as I have pictured it by mistake in my diagram).
      2. Being as I have a fuse right next to my battery is it really necessary to separately fuse my lighting circuit (as pictured) or any other circuits I may add?

fuse both your pos and neg post. as well as each branch circuit.
