Does silicone adhere to acrylic (plexiglass) well?

I've ready mixed reviews online about using silicone with plexiglass. Some say it works, some say it won't hold. Anyone here has any experience with it? If it works what kind? I have a tube of GE Silicone II btw. Suppose I can test it, but even if it works right away I won't know if it will still hold 3 months later...

You will have to look that up in the Mfg's data sheet. Reports I've heard from the fish tank groups, it does NOT bond well. For a PV panel, where you don't have 50 gallons of water pressing on it 24/7, it might hold enough. Clean with water first, then with alcoahol - if it's not clean, it won't stick
