i searched the forum and couldn't really find what i was looking for, maybe it is here and i just didn't search right, if so, can someone pont me in the right direction ?
when i was a kid growing up in the 70s i remember people making DYI solar panels with soup cans painted black, and they used it to heat their water ( i think ? ) i was wondering if it is possible to start taking glass bottles from my curbside recycling container and using that to somehow make solar panels. i know its possible to cut the bottoms off the bottles and do the same sort of thing that was done with the paint cans, or maybe somehow the glass can be fused together ? just thinking aloud.
is there a thread here that deals wtih this sort of thing, has anyone here done this ?
if so, i would love to hear about the adventure.
