    clean cells with methylated spirits?

    Hi guys,
I've just tabbed all of my cells together and have a bit of flux (and fingerprints) on the cells. Not huge amounts, but a bit of spill on some cells. I've searched around quite a bit on whether or not I should clean them but I find differing opinions. Hoping someone can give me some clear advice.

btw, I don't have access to proper flux cleaning products out here. Probably just methylated spirits or rubbing alcohol.

One comment on an old thread says: "Actually the flux eats into the surface of the cell a little bit so you might as well leave it. "

While others say that the flux will attract moisture and promote corrosion.

So ... should I clean my cells with methylated spirits? or just leave them with a bit of flux?

    Thanks once again!

There are some water soluble fluxes, but most will wash up with IPA ( isopropyl alcohol) Rubbing alcohol has a lot of water in it.
