    DIY PC meterbus adaptor

I have a Morningstar Sunsaver 15L MPPT charge controller that I would like to connect to a laptop. The controller comes with an RJ-11 connector on it, and Morningstar recommends purchasing one their MSC RJ 11 to Mererbus serial adapters. I have an RJ 11 cord and a 9 pin serial cord. Does any one have a pinout of the RJ 11 plug on the Sunsaver so that I can twist up an adapter?
    thanks

I think there is more to the innards than just swapping pins around.
I've got an "official" adapter, but it's not very useable for me, programming has to be done via serial anyway, and I use the web interface for everything else.

I will have to find out what's inside the adapter. I don't feel like spending $30 for something that won't help much anyway. The Sunsaver 15L only has one connection (RJ-11) no serial.
