Is Panel possible with current setup

i have a 500VA inverter with a 12V 100AH Battery which charges from AC mains (220V). Is it possible for me to have a 100 W solar panel with a suitable battery charge controller to charge the above battery with optional charging from mains. i am just one month old to solar so pls excuse if it is a stupid question.

    Welcome.

A 100w panel, if it is voltage matched to your system, would take several hours of sunlight to recharge the 100a battery. It would be slow, but not impossible.

That will depend on the insolation and depth of discharge and to some extent the type of charge controller.
