Hi, first post here, I just bought all of my equipment to do a self install. My question is, I know i need the disconnect on the roof within so many feet of the array to satisfy requirements but do I need another disconnect near the breaker box? I have been looking at peoples setups and I see them with disconnects but I cant find that requirement in any code. My setup will be 12 solarworld 295w panels with IQ6 micro inverters, and I live in the city of El Cajon in San Diego county. Any insight would be great. Thank you!

Sdg&e does not require an additional AC disconnect if you have a normal meter socket that will disconnect service if the meter is removed. Code does not require it either.
A lot of national/regional installers will put the disconnect in anyway as part of their standard design.Last edited by sensij; 09-20-2017, 11:15 AM.CS6P-260P/SE3000 - http://tiny.cc/ed5ozx -
