Probably not. Most lost cost charge controllers have the ability to charge both 12v and 24v batteries. Usually it is the 24volt inverter that costs a lot. -
While the Morningstar SunSaver charge controllers are single nominal voltage controllers virtually all other small modern controllers do 12/24 volt. (including the ones shown here). Most chargers do not provide DC isolation between the input and the output.
In your case that translates to requiring two separate panel arrays, one for each charger.SunnyBoy 3000 US, 18 BP Solar 175B panels.Comment
