      This may be partially salvagable. Being familiar with boats he most likely has multiple batteries on board. (Most small runabouts dont have microwaves. I can't attest to the quality of the inverter but it will work to create 120 out of 12v
      The problem as I see it comes with the module and controlling the charging.
      So some more information is needed
      How many batteries are on board?
      Is there a battery isolator on the charge circuit to allow charging when the main battery switch is turned to the off position as in when you leave the boat?
