    Help!!!!!!connecting junction box

    Hello solar friends,

I have a ML SOLAR junction box with 4 tabbing inputs. if my solar panels are 36 cells all tabbed together and i only have 1 negative and 1 positive output in which of the 4 tabbing inputs(in junction box) do i put the positive and negative from the solar panel?

If you want to use bypass diodes on segments of the panel you would need intermediate points in the cell chain brought out to the junction box. You could still put in one overall bypass diode if you will be using the panel in series with another panel and may have partial shading. The + and - output leads of the junction box should connect to the same points as the + and - leads from the panel. The rest of the junction box points will not be used.
