    Are Panasonic panels still good?

It's my understanding that Panasonic panels used to be some of the best panels if not even the best. I just got a quote from a solar company that supposedly can install pretty much any panel brand but they don't have Panasonic on their list anymore. Supposedly the owner of the solar company said that a lot of other solar companies have a fire sale on Panasonic HIT panels because Panasonic these days concentrates more on batteries than panels. It this true and if so, is it a concern?

Btw, the company seems to prefer selling REC panels with Enphase IQ8A microconverters.

      So according to this: https://www.energysage.com/blog/pana...manufacturing/

In February 2021, Panasonic announced that during fiscal year 2022 (ending in March 2022), it will stop manufacturing photovoltaic (PV) modules (aka solar panels). This announcement created confusion about Panasonic's future role in the solar industry, causing some to wonder if the company will stop selling solar panels altogether. But this is not the case! The company said it will "continue to sell outsourced photovoltaic modules as it has been doing in North America."
So mostly the reason you aren't seeing them is, as your solar guy is saying, is the fact Panasonic is outsourcing it overall.

REC panels, I have seen a lot of solar installers referring to, most likely because the company is still producing them and has a decent track record in low overall degredation over time for the price point. I believe around 8% over all degredation in 25 years.
