Some of the Plugwise units can be used through a tablet/phone it seems - the accuracy I sent an email asking about.

Sounds a lot like plugwise - except a lot more expensive.

The plugwise starter kit (2 devices) costs at amazon 109$. And then you can only use from your PC with a USB Stick.
smart-me costs 99$ (shipping included) and you don't need any additional HW (except a WiFi Network). And you can use smart-me from anywhere.

There is also a big difference in the accuracy of the two devices.
Accuracy: Plugwise: 5% smart-me: 1%

Smart-me is a lot of things, but first it's a high quality energy and power meter. Smart-me has a high measuring range and an extremely high accuracy, so you can also use it to measure low power consumption such as Standby usage. The device measures the energy in both directions (import and export). This means you can use it to measure your consumptions and you can use it to measure your productions (e.g. from a small photovoltaic system).
