check the pages, there are several piping diagrams that you can useAttached FilesLeave a comment:

Your 3 way valve is in the wrong spot, it needs to send the solar water to the primary tank first then to the secondary tank.
The way you show the piping you will be trying to heat 270 l of water at once. You won't be able to get your primary tank water temperature up to where you want it. You need to heat 1 tank at a time, when that tank reaches the set point the next tank is heated. A 3 way valve sending the solar water alternately to each tank is required. I will look for a piping diagram and post it.Leave a comment:

add extra storage tanks on a existing solar water heater system
ok guys afer a few years running fine. I noted that my existing 135 ltr tank will get up to 70 plus degrees by lunch time, So i though it`s time to add extra hot water water storage tank.
I will be adding 135 ltr gas hot water storage tank and just using it as extra storage only.
can someone have a look at the diagram and let me know if i`m connecting it correctly
the pics show as is current setup and then how i propose to add the extra tank.
